Allegedly Drunken Driver Seen Swerving on Church Street

A Worcester resident faces drunken driving charges after someone reported seeing his vehicle "swerving in and out of both lanes of traffic" on Church Street on Tuesday night, according to the Northborough Police log.

Police arrested Jose A. Mancia, 39, of 162 Canterbury St., Apt. 1, Worcester, at 5:47 p.m., and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor; a marked lanes violation; and drinking alcohol from an open container in a motor vehicle, according to the log.

Here are the other highlights of the Northborough Police log for Tuesday and Wednesday, courtesy of the Northborough Police Department:

On Tuesday, at 1:06 p.m., police received a report from Colburn Street of property taken from a vehicle.

At 4:43 p.m., police received a report from Crawford Street of a single-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries. McFee and Newton was requested for a tow.

At 5:15 p.m., police assisted the ambulance with a medical on Indian Meadow Drive.

At 6:54 p.m., police received a report from Otis Street of the larceny of four TVs.

At 10:54 p.m., police assisted the ambulance with a medical on Centre Drive.

At 11:26 p.m., police received a 911 hangup from Southwest Cutoff. Police called back, and someone reported a dispute with a resident. Police arrested Julio A. Cotto, 26, of 380 Southwest Cutoff, Apt. 235, Northborough, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

On Wednesday, at 6:44 a.m., police received a report from Brigham Street of a deer struck by a vehicle. Police advised the Department of Public Works.
