Alleged Drunken Driver Runs Car Onto Grass

An allegedly drunken driver ran his car off Southwest Cutoff and onto the grass near a restaurant Tuesday night.

Northborough Police arrested Ralph Bernard Nolan, 51, of 2083 Dunwoody St. NE, Atlanta, Ga., and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, speeding, and drinking alcohol from an open container in a motor vehicle, at 11:53 p.m., according to the Northborough Police log.

On Tuesday, at 10:37 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on Brigham Street.

At 11:25 a.m., police assisted the fire department with an alarm investigation on Bearfoot Road.

At 12:34 p.m., police received a report of a loose dog running by the roadside on Church Street.

At 4:48 p.m., police received a call from someone on Chesterfield Road seeking help from animal control with her brother's dog, which she is watching. Police paged animal control.

At 6:45 p.m., police received a report from Belmont Street/Route 9 of a two-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries.

At 7:10 p.m., police received a report from West Street that an object thrown from a moving vehicle struck a female walking.

At 8 p.m., police assisted the fire department with a fire alarm on West Main Street.

At 8:40 p.m., on South Street, police issued a criminal complaint for operation after a revoked registration.

At 9:32 p.m., police received a report from Pleasant Street of a verbal argument between a mother and daughter. A rights card was issued.

At 10:11 p.m., police received a report from Davis Street of fireworks in the area. Police could not find them.

At 11:23 p.m., police received a report from Ball Street of two gunshots in the area. Police called Boylston Police to help search the area.

On Wednesday, at 7:13 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on West Main Street.

At 7:45 a.m., police received a report from West Main Street of an argument.
