1 Arrested For Drunken Driving

The following information was supplied by Northborough Police. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

An alleged drunken driver was arrested at Shops Way on Saturday.

Northborough Police arrested Gary Howard Silverstein, 54, of 406 Avalon Way, Shrewsbury, and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor.

Police had received a report at 4:36 p.m. of someone apparently driving erratically, according to the Northborough Police log.

Police made two, unrelated arrests Saturday.

Early Saturday, police arrested Jason A. Chaves, 40, of 12 Rutland Road, Northborough, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

On Friday, at 8:28 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a fire alarm on Forbes Road.

At 9:11 a.m., police received a report from Route 9 of a two-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries. McFee and Newton was requested for two tows.

At 12:24 p.m., police assisted the ambulance with a medical on Bartlett Street.

At 3:40 p.m., police received a report from Bartlett Street of a two-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries.

At 4:01 p.m., police received a report from West Main Street of a motor vehicle that flipped over.

At 6:01 p.m., police received a report from Shops Way of a lost purse.

At 6:31 p.m., police received a report from Avalon Drive of vandalism: words written on a vehicle.

At 6:32 p.m., someone on Cedar Hill Road reported his wife received a threatening message.

At 6:58 p.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on Bartlett Street.

At 7:39 p.m., someone on Hitching Post Lane reported her boyfriend thereatened her.

At 9:35 p.m., police received a report from Ball Street of a mother and father arguing.

At 11:49 p.m., someone on Indian Meadow Drive reported someone knocked on her door. Police checked the area, and found nothing.

On Saturday, at 1:42 p.m., police received a report from Longfellow Road of damage to a mailbox.

At 3:03 p.m., an employee on Shops Way reported a customer walked out without paying. Police spoke to the person in the parking lot, and issued a summons.

At 4:30 p.m., police received a report from Southwest Cutoff of a minor two-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries,

At 4:41 p.m., a BJ's employee reported a male had fled the store with merchandise. Police couldn't find the person.

At 5:56 p.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on Longfellow Road.

At 8:34 p.m., police received a report from Route 9 of a two-car motor vehicle accident with minor injuries. Police requested McFee and Newton for two tows.

At 9:58 p.m., police received a report from Church Street of a deer struck by a car.

At 10:36 p.m., on Route 9, police issued a criminal complaint for operating after revocation, uninsured, and operating after suspension of license. McFee and Newton was called for a tow.

On Sunday, at 2:33 a.m., on Main Street, police issued a criminal complaint for operating after suspension. McFee and Newton was called for a tow.
