Leave The House for Contra Dancing, the Assabet Valley Mastersingers and More

Northborough Patch helps answer the question, "What are we going to do this weekend?"

Live music, dancing and getting ready for camping and boating season are a few things to ponder about checking out this weekend.

1.
Where/When: First Parish Church Unitarian Universalist of Northborough, Saturday, March 19, 8-11 p.m.
Why Go: To meet new people, dance, laugh and have some gool 'ole fun. All dances taught. There is pre-dance instruction for beginners at 7:30 p.m. Ken Bennett calls it, and the JumpStart Band keeps the beat while you try out your new moves. You can attend with or without a partner. It is requested that you wear clean, soft-soled shoes.
Pricing: $8 for adults, $6 for students or $18 per family. Children 12 and under are free.

2. 2011 RV, BOAT AND CAMPING SHOW
Where/When:
DCU Center in Worcester on Friday, March 18, 5-9 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 20, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: The show features RV and boat dealers from throughout New England showcasing their newest products. Get new camping ideas from campground owners for the 2011 season, and check out the newest equipment for a better camping experience. There are also financing representatives available to help finance your new boat or RV.

3. CELEBRITY IMPERSONATORS
Where/When: Mechanics Hall in Worcester on Friday, March 18 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: To see Las Vegas’ Celebrities on Stage, starring The Edwards Twins: Impersonators of the Stars are appearing live at Mechanics Hall on Friday, March 18 at 8 p.m. The Twins perform as Cher, Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, Bette Midler, Billy Joel and more. You won’t believe your eyes and ears.

4. ASSABET VALLEY MASTERSINGERS - WINE, WOMEN, SONG
Where/When:
St. Mark's School, 25 Marlboro Rd., Southborough on Sunday, March 20 beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Why Go: To see Northborough's own Algonquin Regional High School Concert Choir and The Northborough After School Choir, as they join the Assabet Valley Mastersingers for the annual AVM concert.

Where/When:
on Friday, March 18, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Why Go: To shake what your mother gave ya. Go Gadget Go is a group of tie-sporting guys playing party and dance hits from the past three decades for your listening and dancing pleasure. This high-energy cover band will have you on your feet all night.
