Marlborough — Clara P. (Wilbur) Benson, 96, of Grove St. died Tues. July 30, 2013 peacefully at home after an illness. Her husband of 53 years, Leopold A. "Paul" Benson died in May, 1992.
She was a graduate of Marlborough High School and worked as a housekeeper before she married. Clara and Paul owned farms in Westborough and Dudley before settling in Douglas in 1962. Clara was an active outdoor lady. She loved camping, riding snowmobiles, and always had a vegetable garden.
Westborough — David P. Leclair, 60, formerly of Dudley, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 in Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, after a long illness.
He lived in Westborough for 8 years before moving to Dudley in 1965 and had resided in Webster since 2009. He graduated from Southbridge High School.
Mr. Leclair was a truck driver for most of his life. He was an over-the-road driver for 2 trucking companies, and more recently worked for R & M Trucking Company in Oxford. He had also worked at Cranston Print Works Company. He retired because of illness.
Auburn/Northborough — G. Earl Peace, Jr, aged 68, of Auburn, Massachusetts, died Wednesday, July 24th with his wife and daughter at his side, after a brief but extraordinarily complicated illness.
Dr. Peace's professional career started even before being granted his PhD in chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1971, as he began teaching at Lafayette six months before his graduation. In 1979 he was appointed by the governor of Pennsylvania to the Citizens Advisory Council to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, writing an article entitled "Conserve Energy Before Crisis Hits."
Natick — Robert ”Don” Scott 83, of Natick and Upton Maine, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Eliot Health Care Center in Natick.

Born in Natick and a resident for 51 years, he was the son of the late George and Julia (Evans) Scott. Scott was the owner of Don Scott Septic Service of South Natick which he founded in 1968 until his retirement in 1981. He had previously worked for the Town of Natick Public Works Highway Department.
