Natick —
 James M. Smith of Natick died on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Wingate of Sudbury Nursing Home. He was 77 years old.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served our country proudly during the Korean War. Jim was a Natick resident for many years, a member of St. Patrick’s Church of Natick and he worked in the shipping and receiving department of Clix manufacturing of Natick for several years. 

Westborough — John A. Heywood , 90, of Yarmouthport, and Ft. Myers, FL and formerly of Westborough and Wolfeboro, NH died on Saturday, July 13, 2013
Heywood worked for many years at Draper Corporation in Hopedale where he rose to Vice President of Latin American Sales.  He later purchased Minuteman Travel Service in Westborough and operated it until his retirement.  He was a Trustee of both the Westborough Savings Bank and the Congregational Church of Westborough. 
Northborough — Arthur H. Bachand, 71, of Beaumont – Westborough, died on July 15, 2013.
Bachand was a self-employed trucking and land clearing contractor. He also worked in construction. He most recently employed at Watts Security as a security guard. Arthur graduated from Northborough High School, class of 1959 and was a co-captain of the football team. He attended Bridgton Academy in Maine. 
Shrewsbury — Mary T. (Hawes) Giofreda, 84, of Shrewsbury, passed away at her home on Monday July 15, 2013, after an long illness.
Mary was born in Worcester. She was the daughter of the late George and Julia (Murphy) Hawes. She was educated in Worcester schools.
Mrs. Giofreda was a longtime member of St. Anne’s Parish. She enjoyed bingo and trips to Foxwoods, spending time with family and friends, and cheering for Boston Sports teams.

Natick — John Sidney, born April 16, 1922 in Vienna, Austria to Josephine Singer Severin and Emil Siebert, died peacefully at Oak Knoll Healthcare Center, Framingham, on July 15, 2013 after a short illness.
John grew up in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and came to the US as a refugee in 1942. He graduated from City College of New York, and the Harvard Business School. He enlisted in the US Army as an interpreter, and during his service, was naturalized as a US citizen and, while deployed in Europe, was captured and held as a POW in Germany.
