Northborough Remembers Anne Steele

Anne Margaret (Dugard), Steele, 95, of East Falmouth, formerly of Bourne and Northborough, died at Falmouth Hospital on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Graydon Steele, to whom she was married for 43 years.

Anne graduated from Worcester High School. She worked as a secretary for the Travelers Insurance Company for several years, and co- owned the Mistover Dairy in Northborough. 

Anne enjoyed gardening, sewing and knitting, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Garden Club of Northborough, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anne is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Steele and his wife Eileen of Falmouth, and Lee Steele and his wife Brenda of Medway; four grandchildren, Jarrod, Ean, Kaitlyn and Colleen; six great-grandchildren, and two nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Todd Steele.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 270 Gifford St., Falmouth. Burial will follow at 1:15 p.m. in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
