Community Remembers Thelma Wood

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her graveside service on Monday, Dec. 2.

Thelma (Stucchi) (Morgan) Wood, 89, of Framingham died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham after a brief illness.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Victoria (Piazza) Stucchi.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert Wood in 1971, her sister Victoria Joslin and her brothers Richard and Rudolph Stucchi.

Mrs. Wood was a graduate from the Framingham High School Class of 1942, and was employed by the former J.M. Fields in Natick as an office manager until they left the area.

Thelma is survived by her brother, William Stucchi and his wife Mary of Framingham; her brother, Edward Stucchi and his wife Pauline of Mt. Dora, Fla.; her brother, James Stucchi and his wife Corrine of Lake Worthe, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Stucchi of Northborough; and many nieces and nephews of which she was very close with her niece, Faith Currier of Ashland and her very dear friend Marsha Chaulk of Framingham.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Avenue) Framingham. At Thelma’s request, there will be no visiting hours. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her graveside service on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Tarcisius Cemetery located on Winthrop Street off Route 135, Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Thelma’s memory in accordance with her devotion to animals may be made to the Metrowest Humane Society, P.O. Box 1068, Framingham, MA 01701.
