Born on Sept. 17, 1945, the daughter of Michael and Carmella Fiorillo Cozzolio, she was a 1963 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Gloria truly loved her life-long career in the food service industry. She worked at Berkshire Frosted Foods for over 20 years. In 1985, she founded B&G Restaurant Supply with her late husband, Bernie. Gloria and Bernie grew a successful business out of a passion for serving their customers and taking care of their employees. Today, B&G employs over 40 employees and has a second location in Albany, N.Y. B&G supplies accounts all over the country and is rated one of the top 100 foodservice dealerships in the United States.

Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She always looked forward to the 4th of July parade, going to casinos and touring Disney World. She was a New England Patriots fan and enjoyed attending sporting events with her husband. Most of all, she was proud to be “Mimi” to her five grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her loving, caring, personality and the way she found a positive light in every situation. She was warm, generous and had a magical way of making everyone feel special.

She was a communicant of St. Charles Church. Gloria was a proud and active member of C.I.A.O. and UNICCO. She was a member of the Skyline Country Club. She liked to golf and travel, most recently to Italy, the home of her ancestors.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Bernie Powers, whom she married on June 10, 1967. He died on Nov. 21, 2011.

She leaves a son, Robert F. Powers and Kristie Scarafoni of Lenox, and a daughter, Tricia Dambrauskas and her husband Todd of Needham; five grandchildren, Mackenzi and Makayla Powers, Luciana Scarafoni Powers and Avery and Isabella Dambrauskas; as well as her four sisters, Connie Rabideau of Northborough, Marie Mathews and her husband Mark of Pittsfield, Barbara Handy of West Boylston, and Patty Bianco and her husband John of Pittsfield; and will be sadly missed by her brothers-in-law, Dr. Gerald Powers and his wife Nancy of Bloomsburg, Pa., and John Powers and his wife Paula of Pittsfield.
