Time to Renovate Lincoln Street School

I am pleased to report that the State has approved plans to renovate the Lincoln Street Elementary School.  The next step in the process is the town meeting on April 28, 2014.

I encourage all Northborough residents to support this project.  I think it is important for me to disclose that I do have a child currently attending Lincoln Street school.

Having a great school system, benefits all of property owners in Northborough, including people who don't have children in the school system.  The biggest reason why property values in town have held up in spite of a dreadful housing market crash several years ago, is the schools.  People want to buy in Northborough because of the school system.

If we want to protect out property values, then we have to make sure our schools, including the facilities, are maintained.  Lincoln Street has served us well through the years, but it's old, and needs work.  As buildings age, they need to be renovated, and that time has arrived for Lincoln Street School.

Please come out to the April 28 town meeting and support this project.
