Annual Tree Lighting - December 7 5:30 pm

The Northborough Annual Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 starting at 5:30 pm at the corner of Blake Street and Rt. 20.   This year’s celebration will feature the Hundredth Town Chorus singing holiday carols, holiday bells for the children to ring, hot cocoa and cookies, and local merchants.

The annual tree lighting began in 1968 in honor of the memory of Neil Ellsworth, an Army private first class, who was killed in Vietnam in 1967 at the age of 19.

This event will be the grand finale to The Northboro Holiday Trolley. The Trolley is a ride up and down Main St from 12-5, sponsored by local merchants and small businesses. A raffle will be held at the tree lighting for those patrons that participated by acquiring stamps on their trolley passport from retailers along the trolley route. For more information on the trolley please visit http://northboroholidaytrolley.com/
