Team "Let's Look It Up" Wins Fourth Consecutive NEF Quiz Night

On April 4th, the Northborough Education Foundation (NEF) hosted its fifth annual Quiz Night at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston. Teams of four arrived in a variety of creative costumes, from zombies and Mozarts to dodgeball teams and Monopoly pieces. Competing in a 6-round trivia competition, teams were tested in their knowledge of sports, pop culture, math, history, politics and music.

In addition to raising more than $3000—which will be awarded in NEF grants to the Northborough Schools and community—the event was great fun for all those who participated. "Quiz night is a great opportunity to get creative with a costume, test your intellect and be reminded of how much you have forgotten, never learned or can't quite recall.  And all for a good cause!" said Liz Nasser, a Northborough resident and three-time Quiz Night participant. Marile Borden concurs: "I don't know if I'm smarter than a fourth grader, but I think I had more useless knowledge than a few principals that night!"

For the fourth year in a row, team “Let’s Look It Up”, took first place. Best costume went to "NEF or Bust," a team of teachers from Melican Middle School, who came as walking Mozart busts. This was their second consecutive year as costume winners as well, having one last year when they came in full Blue Man Group attire.
