Love is Wonderful

Many look for the approval of others for a job well done, or even to tell them they are a good person.  Often they hope to hear those words from their mate or family.  When we do not hear these words, we may feel unworthy, having no real value.  When those around us are angry, or unhappy, we may tend to blame ourselves for how they feel.  Why?

We all need that positive affirmation that comes from hearing the word, “I Love You.”  When we hear them, unexpectedly, it seems to lift our spirits and for the moment we see life in a good way.

We truly do want to make those around us happy.  Did you know that happiness begins with the individual?  If you are not happy, you cannot make someone else happy.  It is the same with love, if you don’t love yourself (not in a conceited way), you can’t truly love someone else.  We may want too, but often we don’t succeed.   How we view ourselves can generally tell us how we feel about love.

Love is Wonderful

It is wonderful to be in love…

In love with living; peering at the stars above…

Like the sweetness of fresh air,

Expressing your thoughts to anyone who your words would hear...

Yes, it is wonderful to be in love,

But loving someone is not enough.

Before you can share your heart with someone else,

You must first love yourself.

Do you like what you see when you see your reflection?

Does what you see meet your expectations?

Does your heart spell out the words you want to say?

Does what you say reflect who you truly are today?

If so than you know how true love can feel,

A love that is so real…

And you know from the depths of your heart

That no one else has to tell you who you are.
