Excellence at UMass Memorial for “Help for Valve Disease: A Focus on Aortic
Stenosis,” Wednesday, October 9, 6 to 8 pm, Beechwood Hotel, Worcester. Learn
about the types, symptoms and treatment of this common cardiovascular problem. You
will also learn about transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), a new minimally
invasive option for patients who are at very high risk or too sick for
open-heart surgery. UMass Memorial is the only hospital in Central
Massachusetts actively screening patients with severe aortic stenosis who may
