Basic Rights in Special Education co-hosted by Northborough/Southborough and Westborough SEPACs

Northborough/Southborough (NSPAC) and Westborough (SEPAC) Special Education Parent Advisory Councils Announce "Basic Rights in Special Education" on Friday, November 15,  from 6-9PM at Algonquin Regional High School (Library), 79 Bartlett St. Northborough.

Presented by Elaine Rabbitt from the Federation for Children with Special Needs, the Basic Rights workshop provides families with an introduction to their rights and responsibilities under:
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA),Massachusetts Special Education Law , No Child Left Behind (NCLB), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504  and Civil Rights.  This presentation is designed to help parents/guardians learn to be effective partners with their child’s  school to decide their child’s eligibility for special education, and to plan, make decisions and monitor their child’s progress in school.
