10TH ANNUAL SPECTACULAR IN NORTHBOROUGH TO BE A ‘SAVORY & SWEET’ BENEFIT FOR SENIOR CENTER

NORTHBOROUGH – The Friends of the Northborough Senior Center happily invite the public to attend their 10th annual Spectacular, which this year features an array of tasty appetizers, as well as a buffet of chocolate concoctions, along with a silent auction. The “Savory & Sweet” event is set for Saturday, February 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. (snow date: Sunday, February 10), at Whitney Place, 238 West Main Street, Northborough.

For a $20 donation, guests will enjoy the expanded buffet of appetizers and sweets with wine and piano music, while browsing the silent auction where they can bid on gift certificates, gift baskets, and other contributions from local restaurants and retailers. Together with the Whitney Place hosts, the Northborough business community also supports the event with donations of edibles. Parking for the event is available in the adjacent St. Rose of Lima Church parking lot.

Tickets are available at Whitney Place, the Senior Center at 119 Bearfoot Road, or at the door. As always, all proceeds of this Friends’ fundraiser help support activities and programs at the Northborough Senior Center. The Center’s answering machine at 508-393-5035 will provide up-to-date information about possible postponement of the Spectacular due to weather.
