UPDATED: Snow, Sleet and Freezing Rain for Tonight

The National Weather Service is predicting some slippery conditions for tonight.

With snow and sleet transitioning to freezing rain by 10 p.m., things are bound to get slick out in Northborough. And we won't even mention the power lines yet.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook and Winter Weather Advisory for much of New England.

In Northborough, the forecast details of up to two inches of snow with precipitation transitioning over to freezing rain by 10 p.m. tonight.

After 10 p.m., the NWS predicts areas of snow, freezing drizzle, and sleet through 3 a.m., then areas of freezing rain after 3 a.m. Also, patchy fog makes driving even more dangerous before 10 p.m. and after 11 p.m.

Closings, cancellations and postponements:

Northborough public schools are closed this evening—no after school classes, activities or practices
