We're reminding you that Patch has an App. You should get it.
The latest news in Northborough can reach you, wherever you are (and it's free). Patch has an iPhone application in the iTunes store, bringing you news at just a tap of your screen.
Where can I find it?
What does it offer?
The Front 5: Once you load and open the app for the first time on your phone, "The Front 5" will appear, giving you the latest articles posted and a few upcoming events for the day. To find all the latest news or other sections, simply click on the white picket fence icon in the top left hand corner to bring you to the home screen.
News: As always, Patch has the latest and most important news so you can stay informed about what is happening in your town. Click on the news section to scroll through the most recent articles, or look back at past stories.
Events: Just like when you visit Patch on your computer, you can see all upcoming town events on the phone app, from town meetings to sports games to programs and festivals. You can add individual events that interest you to your calendar by simply clicking "add to calendar."
Directory: The directory is the best place to find information on all the businesses and organizations in town. Search for specific listings alphabetically. With just a click on the phone number, your phone will automatically dial that pizza joint to place your order or the drug store down the street to find their hours.
Weather: The dashboard gives you the current weather and a quick tap on the temperature will give you the upcoming weather for the week.
Favorites: Once you've opened a story that you like and want to save, simply hit the "+" sign on the bottom of the screen to save to your favorites.
Interact and share with friends: Once you open a story and decide you want to pass it along to a friend, click the arrow in the upper right-hand corner, then the Facebook icon to post to your Facebook page, or you can click the envelope to send the link to the story in an e-mail. Click the quotations icon to comment on the article or click the camera icon to upload a photo of your own.
