Northborough Burger King Participates in Jimmy Fund Fundraiser

Burger King customers can help fight cancer from July 29 through Sept. 2 by contributing $1 to the Jimmy Fund through the A Chance for Kids & FamiliesSM program at participating Burger King restaurants in six New England states and throughout Metro New York, including the Burger King located at 17 Cold Harbor Drive in Northborough.

With each contribution, customers will receive a promotion card guaranteed to be a winner with prizes ranging from an all-inclusive trip from TNT Vacations Powered by Funjet Vacations, American Airlines miles, and theme park tickets, to prizes from Burger King, Aubuchon Hardware and Old Navy.

“The Burger King family around the world is dedicated to making a difference in the communities in which we work and live,” said Jim Froio, Burger King franchisee and president, New England Association. “Cancer touches so many lives and A Chance for Kids & Families helps support the fine work done at Dana-Farber ridding the world of cancer. We are happy to continue our support of this program and look forward to supporting it in the future.”

In the last 13 years, participating Burger King restaurants have raised more than $10.9 million for cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Burger King restaurants in New England that will participate in the campaign include: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Metro New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

“For the past 13 years, Burger King employees and their restaurant guests have been an invaluable partner in our fight cancer,” said Suzanne Fountain, director of the Jimmy Fund.
