No Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Eyed For Northborough, Apparently
The state Department of Public Health received 14 applications to operate registered medical marijuana dispensaries with Worcester County as "the first county of preference."
It appears none of the medical marijuana dispensaries proposed for Worcester County are for Northborough locations.
Town Planner Kathryn Joubert said Tuesday she had not heard of any such facilities eyed for Northborough.
No potential medical marijuana dispensary developers have contacted her, she added.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health said Friday that it has received 14 applications to operate registered medical marijuana dispensaries with Worcester County as "the first county of preference."
"Applicants were not required to submit a town in this stage of the application process," DPH Media Relations Manager Anne Roach said.
