Concerns Raised About R & T Building

"People are worried about it," Selectmen Chairman Leslie Rutan says.

The former R & T Furniture building at 40 West Main St.  is "an eyesore. And people are worried about it," Selectmen Chairman Leslie Rutan says.

"It looks like it's going to collapse at any moment. I know there are things still in there, and product still in the windows. I'm not really quite sure why," Rutan said during Monday night's selectmen's meeting.

"It's a dangerous-looking situation."

Town Administrator John Coderre called the building "a structure that housed a business that's no longer operational."

Coderre said he was "not aware of any immediate plans to do anything" with the building.

Coderre said he could look into it.
