Applefest: Four Days of Fun Starts Thursday Night

It's the town's biggest social event of the year. We'll be there. Will you?

Those mosquitoes may and construction pushed away the parade this year, but Applefest is still the best event going this weekend.

Kicking off Thursday with a talent show at Algonquin Regional High School, Applefest continues through Sunday, Sept. 16, with events.

Friday evening's activities include a magic show at the from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Saturday's street fair, sponsored by the Northborough Rotary Club, usually sets up downtown, will move over to the upper parking lot of Algonquin Regional High School. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, vendors and exhibitors will line up tables passing out, and selling, food and wares. Say hello to Northborough Patch while you're there.

Also on Saturday, the Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors the 20th annual Applefest 5K Road Race. Runners launch from the at 10 a.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.

And Sunday caps off the schedule with the annual classic car show, gatheringfrom 8 a.m. to noon at the Northborough Shopping Plaza (West Main Street/Route 20).

And that's just some of the apples on the tree that is Applefest.
