Instructions

Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • flour or cornstarch
  • 9x12 pyrex dish

Add gelatin to water and microwave for 30 seconds on high. Add syrup, vanilla and salt. Beat with an electric mixer for 12 minutes until the marshmallows are very thick and tripled in size. (Much easier with stand mixer) Pour marshmallows into a 9x12 inch pyrex dish coated in cooking spray and dusted with flour or corn starch. Let marshmallows cool for at least three hours, or overnight. Cut marshmallows with a wet knife.
