Resident Shares "One of the Greatest Gifts" From His Parents
Northborough's George Bender plays the piano at the Northborough Senior Center three or four times each week, just to keep limber.
Wednesday, a piano solo of "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" was heard coming from the Northborough Senior Center's Bistro@119.
Thank George Bender's parents.
Bender, of Northborough, said he has played that piano three or four times per week, in 15 to 20 minutes, for about three years. to limber up.
He has played the piano on and off since age eight.
Piano lessons are "probably one of the greatest gifts my parents gave me," Bender said.
