Meet Northborough Patch's New Team

Editor Michael Gelbwasser and Senior Community Editor Bill Gilman are working together to serve Northborough.

A new chapter in Northborough Patch's history has begun.

My name is Michael Gelbwasser, and I'm the new editor, succeeding Charlene Arsenault.

Succeeding, not replacing. Because I know from working with Charlene over the past year as Westborough Patch editor that she loves Northborough, and really enjoyed serving this community.

My passion for community news is similar. I've been in the field for 20 years full time. And I was a freelancer for the Telegram & Gazette during my college years.

I grew up in Rutland, and graduated from Wachusett. I came back to Central Mass. last summer after being the first editor of Sharon Patch, which launched in October 2010. After nearly two decades away, I felt it was time to come home.

I'm excited about learning about my new community. I hope residents and groups will reach out to me at michael.gelbwasser@patch.com or 781-315-3175.

And I hope the community also will welcome Northborough Patch's new senior community editor, Bill Gilman. He may be reached at williamg@patch.com or 978-413-8265.

With school starting this week and Applefest on the horizon, I have a lot to learn quickly. It's an exciting challenge.
