Earth Day Festivities, and Musical Nights Out

Friday Night Skating
Where/When: Roller Kingdom, 5 Highland Park Ave., Hudson. Friday April 8 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Earth Day 
Where/When: Garden In The Woods, Hemingway Rd., Framingham. Saturday April 23 at 11 a.m.
Why Go:  Visitors can enjoy free admission to Garden in the Woods and special events all afternoon, including activities include face-painting, seed planting, and making a pine cone bird feeder to take home.

The Allens Band
Where/When: Speakers Night Club, 19 Weed St., Marlborough. Saturday, April 23 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: The Allens have shared a stage with Jesse Malin, The Romantics, Neighborhoods, Extreme, Farrenheit, and members of the Joe Perry Project. Paying their dues in other bands, the boys in The Allens always had a friendly camaraderie and appreciation for each others' playing.

Messy Masterpiece
Where/When: The Discovery Museums, 177 Main St., Acton. Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why Go: Children experiment with color mixing and individuality as they create their own unique work of art using a colorful assortment of paints.
Pricing: $3

Blues Jam
Where/When: Stones Meeting House, 179 Main St., Ashland. Sunday, April 24 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: Join Pete Henderson & Co. for the best blues music in Central Mass!
Pricing: Free! Food and drink menu available.
