Last week, Northborough Patch hung out at Diamond in the Ruff, a doggie daycare and grooming salon in town. We met a couple of packs of dogs; the "big dogs" were in one room, the "little dogs" in the other. Near the end of the day, these fluffies were waiting for their guardians to pick them up. Also celebrating Valentine's Day (week), each dog's cubbie was filled with a Valentine from their daycare BFF. We spoke to some of the folks picking up their best friends to find out what makes their dog their Valentine. Share your story here. Why is your pet your Valentine? Is he or she adopted? Does…

One of the biggest ones of the season is coordinated by Helping Hands of Northborough, a volunteer organization. The economy may be affecting people's own food supply on Thanksgiving, but it is clearly not affecting their willingness to give. Helping Hands took in and sorted bags and boxes of food on …
When the freshman football team from Algonquin Regional High School arrived in Westborough on Saturday, the players were prepared to take on the Westborough High School freshman team. The compromise was to have the two junior varsity teams play a game and then have the two freshmen teams pair up to play a half game. Westborough Patch photojournalist Sue Wambolt captured the mix-up in photos. Have photos from the games? …
