Irving Thomas Shanley, 89, of Shrewsbury and formerly of Northborough, died on Monday, Dec. 3. Shanley was a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and D-Day Veteran. He was the loving husband of Florence Louise (Crespi) Shanley, with whom he celebrated sixty-four years of marriage in September. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Henry Charles Shanley and the late Lena Frances (Murphy) Shanley. Florajean “Jean” (Aird) Harper, 81, formerly of Westborough, died on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Coleman House. She leaves her husband of 53 years, Charles H. Harper; 2 daughters, Nancy Harper of Dallas Texas, Patricia Enzien and her husband Michael of Lisle, IL; 1 son, Daniel Harper of Cary, N.C.; 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Chelsea, Grace; nieces and nephews. Lorraine E. (Silva) Barry, 84, died Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Coleman House, surrounded by her loving family.Barry was born and raised in East Boston, daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (French) Silva. She was the former bookkeeper at Westborough Furniture Inc. for many years as well as Oliver Dean and Sons. Barry lived in Northborough the past 51 years. Lorraine was a former member of St. Bernadette Church, and volunteered for Northborough Senior Center Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed her vegetable garden and spending time with her family. Emil "Bill" DuPont died at his home on Sept. 4 after a long illness, as reported in DuPont's obituary on legacy.com. A resident of Northborough, and proud Navy Veteran, DuPont coached Pop Warner football for many seasons before becoming a high school referee. Born and raised in the Hudson/Marlborough area, Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Juliette Sweeten DuPont, and faithful dog, Rocky. He also leaves many nieces and nephews in both Massachusetts and Florida, his friends Eddie Roman and his family of Shrewsbury, and the Dorey family of Northborough. Services will be held privately.

Mary E. (Clarke) Brillhart died on Saturday, July 7, in Venice, FL after a brief illness. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Anne Wright of Shrewsbury. Eileen (MacIntosh) Capobianco, formerly of Natick, died Sunday June 24, 2012 at her home in Westborough. Capobianco was a longtime volunteer at many nonprofits, namely food pantries. She was a longtime volunteer at the Northborough Food Pantry, staffing the pantry every Wednesday morning and making reminder calls to the volunteers about their schedules. What was planned as a fundraiser for John Middleton will become a memorial event this weekend, as Middleton passed away yesterday due to complications of pancreatic cancer.
