Blackie is a five-year-old male currently being taken care of by the International Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury, according to petfinder.com. Blackie, who has been dubbed "The Warrior," was living on the streets and looks like somewhat of a street fighter, frayed ears 'n' all. However, he's a "very lovable boy" and "purrs like crazy when you pet him." He loves food, too, but suffers from some allergies so he sneezes occasionally. 

Nanook called a school bus in Worcester home for more than five years, according to a posting by International Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury on Petfinder.com. But Nanook had clearly been a house cat at one time. She is about six, and is living with a foster family with three other cats. Casper's foster loves him. This 1-2 year old pitbull mix (quite possibly a boxer) is one of the "most stunning looking dogs I have ever seen." Oscar is a seven-year-old boy with a variety of medical issues to be addressed, according to the post on petfinder.com. Louise is a beautiful petite yellow lab mix who is about a year old, as it is listed on Petfinder.com. She was rescued from a shelter in TX but she is presently in foster care with Save-a-Lab in Westborough. Louise is a sweet, affectionate girl who is great with other dogs, says the ad.

You may not realize it, but there's a house bunny rescue right here in Northborough.
