We had 98 trotters and two dogs to make it 100 participants in this year’s turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning!
We raised more than $1,100.
This all started five years ago when Rita Matraia and Maggie Kosovsky ran with a few friends from Rita’s house because there were no organized races. The second year we had 30 runnners and asked for food donations. Last year we had 62 runners and this year through word of mouth this grew to 100!
It’s always great to start off Thanksgiving Day being active and helping others by raising money for the food pantry. Rita thanks Maggie Kosovsky for her multitasking efforts of taking wonderful photos while providing water on Howard St. She also thanks Maggie and Ian Kosovsky for their hard work the night before in labeling the routes for both runners and walkers.
