UPDATE: Otis Street Is One Way Toward Train Station

Starting on Wednesday and continuing through the next few phases of the Sewer Construction Project, Otis Street will be one way from Tomblin Hill Road to Lawrence Street .

In the latest development of the sewer extension project near Walmart, Otis Street became a one way route, with traffic flowing toward the train station starting at Tomblin Hill Road and continuing through Lawrence Street.

This one way restriction continues through phase one of the project. Eventually, the same stretch of road will be completely blocked off for five to seven days, after which Otis Street will return to a one way between the original locations, according to the town's website.

In the final phase of the construction project, local traffic to businesses and residences will return to a two-way system, though through traffic will be advised on a detoured route.

The businesses in the area, including Armenos Coffee Shop and Berberian's Farm Stand will be open throughout the project, said Ann Sullivan, a representative for Metro Equipment Corporation.

"Give yourself extra time," when travelling through the area, she said, adding that lighted sign boards, police details, posted signs and updates on the town website will provide up to date information about road closures and changes.

We can see a picture of this minor little project, but no where is there any pictures of what the mess in the center of town is supposed to end up looking like!
