Algonquin Regional High School seniors Nic Zanghi, Samuel Huddart and Giles Ober worked together for the past five months to create a video as part of a Marketing Research project.
The goal of the project, said Ober, was to promote school spirit and the schools rapport. Not only did it show the spirit, it created it; 12 hours after it was uploaded, it had more than 7,000 views.
"We filmed it over a course of two days," said Ober, "one in December (dedicated to clubs and exracurricular activities at Gonk) and one in January (dedicated to the sports teams). More than 950 students showed up for the filming. Next week, we will be taking our talents to the state DECA conference in Boston to present our project in hopes that it will qualify for the National DECA conference this May in Anaheim, CA. So far, the response has been overwhelming.
"Our goal is to leave behind a legacy for new students to come, and so far we are on the right track."
The boys and their video will be featured on NECN at 5 p.m. and Charter TV3 at 6, 6:30 and 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
