Review This: Yowza! Yogurt Paradise

Have you tried it? What do you think?

While Lalajava is already a local hot spot, Yowza Yogurt Paradise is working on becoming the "daily chill."

As it says on the Facebook page, Yowza Yogurt Paradise offers many flavors in fat-free, low fat and no-sugar-added varieties. With fresh fruit and toppings, there are more than 13,756,865 combinations.

Lisa Hodge (whose photo is featured), said, "We all loved our yogurt and would go back. The staff was very nice and helpful."

A little disappointed...thought it was pricey and hard not to fill up a super large cup. Would be nice if different sized cups were offered for different sized appetites.

Just fill the amount you want for your appetite...simple. The price per ounce is the same regardless of cup size. It's "weigh & pay" and you are in total control of what you dispense, pay, & eat...perfect =)

Very disappointed in Scott - the owner. The High School newspaper asked him if he wanted to advertise in the school paper (November)- and he said his partner was out of town and he was busy and to try next month. When the next edition was about to come out, a student called him back again. This time he went into a tirade yelling and berating the student and claimed he said never to call back.

Scott - if you don't want to support the local school newspaper - just say so - don't yell at 17 year old students who did what you asked - called back.

so you wont see any of us at lala java or yowza.

Adam, first of all I think you may not have the story straight. Anyone writing for a community paper should get the facts right first. Evidently there was some miscommunication. How about you come in and introduce yourself? The young girl was asked to bring in the material for review and she was told we would call back when the timing was right. She said there was a deadline. We couldn't meet the deadline. The timing wasn't right. 'A tirade yelling and berating the student'...I don't think so. How about you and that student come in and see me? Let's communicate.

Adam - we have supported the local school newspaper for years. We have supported the town of Northborough for years. We donate to every organization that comes in and asks. We support local businesses. We support all of our customers in their endeavors. We have personally delivered product to those who could not come in, such as a customer in the hospital, or a woman who didn't want to get out of her car because she had three small children in there. We have made Lalajava a locals place where they can meet. We held a fundraiser, for one of our customers, for his family.

The list goes on. I'm sorry if someone's feelings were hurt...it wasn't personal or intentional. I'd like to resolve this immediately.

Thank you Adam,
Lola

Adam, I am disappointed in you. You post on here armed with only a story a friend told you. As a regular customer of Lalajava, I can tell the exact opposite story several times. Lola and Scott support the community at large. They have held a fundraiser in the Lalajava parking lot for a customer who was dying of cancer. He succumbed to the illness the weekend it was held and they then held in his memory to raise money to help his family.
They give a donation to an auction that I am involved in every year.
I think you need to dig a little deeper into what happened, rather than come onto the internet and post like this. Hearsay is all you have on your side, I would suggest going to Lalajava and having a conversation with both Scott & Lola to find out the rest of the story.

When you talk of no longer going their to support their business, you not only impact Scott and Lola but, you impact all the wonderful students (from the local high schools you claim they don't support) that they employ. The young adults they employ all seem to be nice people as well.

I will continue to be a loyal customer of Lalajava as I have been the recipient of their generosity on more than one occasion.

Sincerely, A loyal customer of Lalajava

John

I'm not one to respond to reviews, but the comment by Adam is making me laugh (but at the same time, it's pretty rude & inaccurate). Lola & Scott have been respected members of the community (& surrounding communities) for many years. They donate to local schools, auctions, fundraisers, etc. whenever asked, & they go above & beyond what is expected of any small business. A small business should support its community just as the community should support its small businesses. I am a little offended myself by Adam's comment because I know Lola & Scott personally as I am a loyal customer of both Lalajava & Yowza. They have both been successful business owners for years, which shows that they clearly know customer service & how to keep people happy.

Adam's comment should be removed (maybe we all start a petition?). It's an inaccurate review of Yowza Yogurt Paradise. It seems to be a personal review based on the hurt feelings of someone who did not get the advertisement they were looking for by the deadline they needed it. Potential customers should not be subject to such nonsense when searching the internet for a description or review of Yowza. People like this should not have the power to smirk behind a computer screen when trying to publicly defame someone and/or their business.

Side note: Scott being from the very laid back beaches of Southern California, it is highly doubtful that he would go into a "tirade yelling & berating [people].." ;)

Maybe I am in a grumpy mood, but the kind of comments made by 'Adam' come with the Patch alias territory. I do believe if folks were required to use their real names we would get more responsible and careful postings from our neighbors. One of the sad things about alias blogging is that too many commentators think they are on talk radio...they should really have the courage to let us know who they are. Accusing a respected business owner (or good citizen) of tirades and berating behind a mask of anonymity strikes me as rather gutless...and raises the possibility that the accuser has a business axe to grind. I must say that every time I have been to LaLa I have been treated with extreme courtesy, and as one who has canvassed in town for scholarship donations have found Northborough merchants to be very polite, even if they chose to not contribute.

Hi there,

I'm Scott's daughter and just felt the need to chime in. In my 26 years, my dad has never gone into a tirade yelling and berating me. I can't imagine him doing so to a perfect stranger.

Linds, I was just going to comment and say the same thing!
My dad, Scott, is not a "yeller" lol...in all of my years living with him, I cannot recall him yelling at me once. Sometimes it's hard to tell if he is even upset. Nice try though, Adam.
