Every third Sunday in September, a POW/MIA ceremony takes place on the USS Massachusetts in Fall River.

This year, the color from Northborough's American Legion Post 234 had the honor of presenting the colors at the ceremony. After the guest speakers, people lined up at the siderail of the ship as each POW/MIA name was read, followed by a bell sounding, and a pink carnation thrown over the side of the ship.

The members of the Northborough Color Guard were Larry Shafer, Larry Beatty, Rick Nieber, Ed Bombard and Elizabeth Morin.
