Hot Air Balloon Lands in the Trees

The Fire Department responded to a hot air balloon crash over the weekend.

The Northborough Fire Department had an anything but routine call on Sunday when it responded to a hot air balloon crash.

The balloon got stuck in a tree off East Main Street at 7:58 a.m.

According to Chief David Durgin, the on-duty shift responded in the rescue unit and ambulance one, and located the balloon, which was no longer stuck, on Deacon Street

There were no injuries.

Hot air balloon(s) over Northboro has been quite the topic of interest lately! Does anyone know where it originates each day or how to contact the company? Perhaps the Patch can do an article?

I think it came down on the Peaslee playing field around 7:30 am too but then got up in the air again.

This is a hot air ballon that floats regularly over Northborough in the summertime, for at least the last ten years in my memory. It landed on our property once. I believe it comes out of Westborough.

We need to track down the owner of this balloon. I think a group from Northborough, and Northborough Patch, should take a ride ... and do a story first hand. Who's with me? And who knows the owner of this balloon?

I agree! I've seen this balloon many times but know nothing about the owners. It landed in the Chet's parking lot on Monday morning...maybe they know something?

I would like to take my mother for a ride for her birthday. Does anyone know how to contact them?
