Algonquin Grad Sings on Comedy Central Sunday Night

Pat Rutan's singing as part of an autism benefit organized by Jon Stewart.

 

Pat Rutan, who graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 2008, sings with the Yale Whiffenpoofs on Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars, a benefit for Autism!"

This event, organized by Jon Stewart of Comedy Central, airs on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m on the Comedy Central Channel.

The Whiffenpoofs sing, accompanied by featured guitarist Tom Morello.

Rutan will be the fourth from the left on the show.

Update: unfortunately, Pat didn't sing on Comedy Central. A combination of timing and being unable to secure the proper legal rights to the song prohibited the band from being on. Well, it WOULD have been cool.

Thanks, Charlene! Just a clarification, though - the Whiffenpoofs did sing for this benefit last Saturday at the Beacon Theater in NYC. Their segment just couldn't be aired due to the station not being able to get the rights to the song with Tom Morello, after the fact. They had a great time taping the show, however! :)
