5 Things: Preschool Registration; Dog Day Photos

Is Wednesday closer to Monday or Friday? Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

Our morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. The Tiny Tomahawks preschool program is holding registration today. The program, for children 3-5, starts in the fall.

2. Did you miss the Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday night? Chances are you did. Fear not. We've got it covered. They approved two new restaurants and gave the OK for a renovation at AJ Tomaiolo's too.

3. National Dog Day is coming up, and we'd like you to celebrate by loading some favorite photos of your pooch.

4. A message from Laura Brennan, children's librarian at the Northborough Free Library: "We are looking for magazines you are getting rid of. The children's room is looking for magazines that we can use for crafts and collage. Children's magazines would be best (American Girl, Boy's Life, Sports Illustrated Kids, etc). We will happily take grown up magazines as well, as long as they are appropriate for children to look through. I would like a hefty collection by around the Christmas Holiday."

5. Skribbles Learning Center is a family owned and operated early learning center presently holding open enrollments. Skribbles cares for children age 1 month through 7 years old.
