Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

5 Things to Know Today, Feb. 16

Five things Northborough Patch is itching to tell you people about today.

1. Kids 5 and older meet for the Reading Ambassadors Book Club at the Northborough Free Library at 6 p.m.

2. Young singers, too: every week, JJ's holds Kids Karaoke at the club, where the younger people get a chance to grab the mic and belt it out.

3. The Dress for Success program is coming up, and you can read about it here. Women - get your business attire ready for donations, as it will help another woman get on her feet and into a job.

4. It's Independence Day....for Lithuania. You could still try to have a cookout if you wanted, though.

5. Talk about your kids, in our fairly new Moms Talk Wednesday column. Join the conversation.

About this column: "Five Things you Need to Know Today" is a Patch featured column that gives Northborough residents a snapshot of what's happening on any given day in town. Updated daily, we welcome reader feedback on ideas for featured items and events.
