I have lived on the corner of Pleasant and Lincoln Street for the past 34 years.   Lately the traffice passing by our house is getting extremely heavy.  Specifically the large trucks.  These trucks are taking a short cut from 290 to route 20 and instead of hitting the high traffic on Church and Main they cut through our neighborhood.  At least once a week I am picking up branches on my front lawn that these trucks are knocking down as they fly by.  They barrel down the street and then their brakes screech and grind as they down shift to a stop.  For our grandbaby trying to sleep...it is almost deafening.

This neighborhood has two schools on it.  An elementary school and a middle school.  There needs to be a "no truck" law to this area, to limit the noise pollution and to keep the children walking to and from school safe. 

Lets hear it from other neighbors...or is it just me?
