A group of Tibetan Buddhist monks from Jhamtse, South India are creating a sand painting called a mandala beginning on Wednesday morning, Feb. 15, at the Northborough Senior Center. 

The mandala may be viewed from Wednesday until Friday morning, when the monks will return to ceremoniously dissemble it.  

The monks tour the world spreading their message of peace and harmony and are currently on a year-long visit to the U.S. The event is open to the public and all are welcome to come and observe.
