Meet Mystery Writers Kyle Darcy and Steve Ulfelder

Northborough Free Library is excited to host two mystery writers on July 11th at 7:00 PM in the Library Meeting Room, 34 Main Street, Northborough as part of our adult Summer Reading Program.

Our two visiting authors both live in Massachusetts and have written well-received novels featuring local color.  They will share their writing experience, answer questions from the audience, and sign copies of their novels.

Steve Ulfelder wrote his first novel Purgatory Chasm in 2011.  It is the winner of RT Book Reviews’ Best First Mystery, 2011, and was nominated for an Edgar Award.  Ulfelder followed up his first novel with The Whole Lie in 2012 which continues the exploits of Conway Sax, the straight-talking, auto-mechanic detective.

A native of Belfast, Kyle Darcy uses the city of Boston as a jump off point for his first mystery Under Current Conditions published in 2010.   Based entirely on actual events, Kyle Darcy shakes up and serves a cocktail of subterfuge, kidnapping, FBI stings, and murder.   This book has appeared on The Boston Globe Bestseller List.
