Kevin Schwalm, who attends the Robert E. Melican Middle School, was given the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) “Golden Sneaker” award for his fundraising efforts for diabetes research.
Schwalm raised close to than $4,000 and Staples, where his dad Peter is employed, sponsored him and he received the number one corporate team award for fundraising efforts, too.
