Jams for Cans to Benefit Northborough Food Pantry and Helping Hands

The first annual Jams for Cans charity concert will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 from 2-6 p.m. at Ellsworth-McAfee Park in Northborough to benefit the Northborough Food Pantry and Helping Hands of Northborough. 

The concert will feature four local bands of varying musical styles: B3, Kenya Diggum, Dr. Spaceman, and Parade of Ants. 

Financial support for the concert has come from several local businesses including Tougas Farms, Davidian Brothers Farm, Staples, Stop & Shop, Wegman’s, Bertuccis, and from the extended Butz family in Lancaster, PA.  Concertgoers will be admitted to the concert by donating school supplies or boxes of granola bars or healthy snacks.  All are welcome! Here is some information on the bands:

Parade of Ants plays mainly folk covers by artists such as Ben Howard, Mumford and Sons, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Cream and Jimi Hendrix.
Band Members: Ian Brenckle, James McGreggor, Mark Van Orden

B3 plays alternative rock by acts such as Semisonic, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Talking Heads
Band Members: George, Mark, Ian Brenckle.

Dr. Spaceman MD plays all original ambient music.
Band Members : Matt Ripley, Ben Wohlfarth
