Boost Fitness announced that its new club at 73-85 West Main St. will host the 2012 American Cancer Society’s Spin for Hope from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, March 4, 2012.

The American Cancer Society’s Spin for Hope is an indoor cycling fundraising event that benefits programs for cancer research, education, advocacy and services.

“The Spin for Hope helps Boost Fitness continue to meet our important goal of giving back to the community,” said Mark Federico, president of Boost Fitness.  “Our members are health conscious and eager to support great causes, such as Spin for Hope.”

All participants in the event will spin for up to three hours, either individually or as a team with up to five people.  Anyone who participates needs to register in advance, so that Boost Fitness can accurately track the need for bikes.

To register as either an individual participant or team captain, contact the ACS at nespinforhope@cancer.org. A non-refundable $25 registration fee applies for each participant.  Participants cycling the entire three hours should strive to raise at least $300.  Those registering as part of a team should strive to raise at least $100 each.

Boost Fitness offers individualized, group and semi-private fitness training at centers in Northboro, Hudson and Westford.
