Assistant Superintendent Finalist Visits Schools, Hosts Meet and Greet
In a notification to the public schools of Northborough and Southborough, Charles Gobron announce that William Collins, principal of the William E. Norris School in Southampton, MA, for the past seven years, is a finalist for the position of assistant superintendent of the Northborough-Southborough Schools.
Collins is a graduate of Anna Maria College, completed both his Masters Degree in Counseling and an Administrative Leadership program at Bridgewater State, and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership Program at Boston College.
Collins has a history of varied experiences as a principal, assistant principal, and guidance counselor. He has a wide range of talents in the areas of curriculum, instruction, finance, technology, and special education. Throughout his career, he has been successful in creating an environment of collaboration and trust. Nine members from the Screening Committee traveled to Southampton on Friday and learned about Collins' impeccable integrity, his passion for students and education, his interest in educational research, and his initiatives in instructional technology from nearly 40 individuals, including teachers, administrative colleagues, support staff, school committee members, town officials, and the superintendent of schools.
On Wednesday, April 13, the schools host a site visit for Collins at Algonquin Regional High School. All parents and community members are invited to meet and greet and ask questions of Collins any time between 1-2 p.m. and from 5-6 p.m. in the Algonquin library.
